Description:

The Operations Support Superintendent will report direct to the Williston Operations Manager with responsibility for the Bakken operations center (BOC), planning & scheduling, production management & reporting and cost analysis. The role will support continuously improving performance by facilitating integration within the operations organization by building strong relationships through collaboration. In support of the achievement of goals across the Williston Asset, the successful candidate will lead implementation of business processes improvements to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Accountability for operations performance management including KPI development & reporting and benchmarking

  • Successfully manage the Bakken operations center team by assigning individual responsibilities, providing performance feedback and general direction of day to day activities

  • Establish direction and provide leadership to the Operations Support, Planning and Scheduling Supervisor

  • Facilitation of performance reviews including the quarterly operations leadership team meeting

  • Enhancement of operations center processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce risk

  • Leads change by developing a 5 year vision for Bakken operations and an implementation road map

  • Build key stakeholder relationships to drive a “one team” culture between the BOC, Planning and Scheduling team and the other Williston Asset management teams

  • Development and implementation of a late life well operating strategy

  • Improvement of planning and budgeting processes and tools

  • Development of systems and process to better monitor and manage cost including a well level economic model. Responsible for driving cost management deeper into the organization

  • Implementation of a program to improve efficiency and reduce waste resulting in sustainable value enhancement/cost reduction

Qualifications:

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

  • 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Proficient with data analytics tool such as Spotfire

  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of cost management systems and processes

  • Knowledge and experience with operational planning processes

  • Builds positive relationships, based on trust, across organizations that foster a strong work environment

  • Actively seeks out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals

  • Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended

  • Strong written and oral communication, networking, prioritization and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse, multi-disciplined workforce
