Description: This job posting is for a Subsurface Project Lead position located in Penwell, TX supporting the Waddell asset in the Permian Basin. The position will provide onsite supervision and coordination of one to two workover units and associated support equipment performing workovers, stimulations, recompletions and abandonment of oil and gas wells with various forms of artificial lift including rod pump, plunger lift, ESP and gas lift. Subsurface Project Leads are crucial to the overall performance of well work operations and the company’s success. They are responsible for overseeing a significant portion of the overall lifting cost budget and are essential for executing the work efficiently to meet both the cost and production targets. In addition, Subsurface Project Leads play a key role in implementing and monitoring the company’s safety and environmental programs, especially by ensuring compliance by rig crews and associated contractors Responsibilities may include: Directing all assigned well operations to ensure work is performed in compliance with ConocoPhillips' safety policies and procedures as well as all applicable environmental and regulatory requirements Taking full ownership for execution of downhole projects including cost and schedule Coordinating with Engineering and Operations to achieve established objectives and to minimize interruptions to production Ensuring smooth well handover to and from Operations and D&C personnel Reviewing field tickets / invoices for accuracy and approving promptly; holding vendors accountable for costs and performance Training and auditing personnel on policies and procedures Entering detailed reports of activities in WellView accurately and timely Entering information for material transfers to track controllable equipment Participating in trouble-shooting and knowledge sharing with other Project Leads and personnel inside and outside Permian Identifying new and innovative methods for performing work Supporting other areas within the Permian as needed Qualifications: Basic/Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States Valid driver's license 5 years of field operations experience 1 years of downhole experience Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish 5 years of downhole experience Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Peloton WellView Certified in IADC Well Control or equivalent Excellent organizational and communication skills Capable of making decisions with limited information Develops realistic plans needed to accomplish objectives and team goals Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business goals Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by courageously dealing with important problems, holding others accountable, and standing up for what is right To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of May 21, 2018 .
