ConocoPhillips and its heritage companies have operated in the Permian Basin for almost 100 years. Across New Mexico and Texas, the company holds conventional positions in the Northwest Shelf and Central Basin Platform, and an unconventional position in the Delaware Basin. At year-end 2020, the company held about 750 thousand net acres across the basin, with net production of 85 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day. In January 2021, ConocoPhillips completed the acquisition of Concho Resources Inc., greatly expanding the company’s position in the Permian Basin. The addition of 550,000 net acres complements the company’s position in the Delaware and Midland Basins and created a sizeable Permian presence.
The Supply Chain Specialist is a key member of the Permian Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Supply Chain team. If selected, you will directly assist the team in the following three critical activities:
Configuration and support of the Permian O&M Supply Chain program and processes
Development of the AFF and AFE Supply Chain budget development requirements
Support contract and procurement activities
If you are selected as the Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for collaborating with key O&M and Production internal partners, and Permian Supply Chain to ensure requirements are met while functionally aligned with ConocoPhillips SPIRIT values and Business Unit (BU) requirements in the most productive and efficient manner.
Your responsibilities may include:
Evaluate, align, and configure Permian O&M Supply Chain processes to Corporate and BU standards
Development and organization of in depth RFx projects and analyses
Collaborate among the Permian Supply Chain and asset teams to build and sustain interpersonal requirements
Handle, track and distribute team reports, documents, and other information
Work directly with Permian Supply Chain, and the asset teams to ensure field / office contract cost visibilities, electronic rate validation (OLAs) and effective cost tracking
Handle analytical and market intelligence requirements
Communicate and roll-out Supply Chain training and change management requirements
Liaise with Corporate and BU internal partners to fulfill requirements and adopt recommendations and standard methodologies
Lead assigned sourcing and contracting efforts for execution of contract strategy requirements while meeting critical project schedule deadlines
Responsible for contract formation (pre-award) of contracts, including but not limited to terms & conditions, contract commercial schemes and contract exhibits
Responsible for post award contract management of contracts, including but not limited to KPI development and tracking, quality control and assurance, and efficiency monitoring
Development and recommendation of supplier negotiation strategies
Ensures compliance by contractors to the terms and conditions of contracts
Facilitate contract administration including contract changes, claims and documentation
Responsible for closing-out of contracts to release contractor and related claims
Support the Procurement & Materials Management function
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, other related field, or foreign equivalent
5 years of Supply Chain Management experience
3 years contracts experience within a supply chain related role
Advanced understanding of commercial strategies and market dynamics
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
5 years of Supply Chain experience with multidimensional experience (i.e., procurement, contracting, materials management, data analytics, etc.)
3 years of experience in supporting Oil & Gas projects and operations
1 years of Local Permian and Global market experience
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD)
Efficient organizational and analytical abilities to lead multiple communication interfaces, information and efficiently meet deadlines
Effective interpersonal, and negotiations skills to be influential and seek and resolve problems
Ability to analyze/interpret information efficiently to communicate and achieve targeted objectives
Ability to fully understand Supply Chain ramifications to cost, schedule, quality and HSE
Ability to work with minimal direction, balance multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in fast paced environment
Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
