The lead will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering services that involve safety and fitness for Wellness Services as well as overseeing related programs consistent with the corporate health and wellness business strategy for employees and their families.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Develops, coordinates, manages fitness programs, and supports wellness/fitness programming for a variety of populations.

  • Develop or update necessary emergency procedures, safety practices and risk management processes. This includes facility inspections, logs, and staff development.

  • Maintains records, prepares and analyzes statistical reports, evaluations, participation surveys, and program manuals.

  • Provides leadership, direction and oversight for contract group instructors, personal trainers, and massage therapist.

  • Develops and presents educational wellness/fitness program presentations.

  • Conducts individual fitness assessments and provides detailed health and wellness recommendations.

  • Works with other ConocoPhillips employees at satellite locations to promote designated health incentives.

  • Individual and group fitness training

  • Provides information and assistance to participants at the main desk providing detailed information on programs and services.

  • Evaluates Fitness Programs, rules and policies through participant evaluations and staff input.

  • Managing the billing and collection process for contract fitness instructors via invoice processing.

  • Instructor for a variety of exercise programs.

  • Responsible for monthly Wellness newsletter and creating fitness program marketing materials.

  • Provide ongoing outreach and BU support as it pertains to Wellness, Safety, and Fitness programs.

  • Monitor CPR/AED/FA certifications for all Wellness staff and intermittent employees.

  • Collaborate and assist with coordination of special events.

  • Participates in all the programs and activities as required in the organization.



  • Legally authorized to work in the US without restrictions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science preferred or Wellness/Health/Fitness).

  • 3 years’ experience in a fitness/wellness related work assignment

  • Ability to work flexible work hours including 5:30am – 7:00pm M-F and some weekends as needed for special events

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Website (able to perform function with limited assistance).

  • Experience with Micro-Fit Assessment system and software.


  • Personal training certification

  • Instructor safety certifications in the following: CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), First Aid

  • Nationally recognized certification (ACSM, ACE, NASM, etc.)

  • Experience with fitness assessment and exercise/rehab prescription

  • Experience working one-on-one or in groups

  • Risk management experience

  • Experience working in a multi-use fitness facility

  • Ability to integrate health and productivity programs and services within the company and other wellness partners

  • Analytical skills in tracking program successes and metrics

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to develop effective communications utilizing SharePoint, Website and other resources

  • Good presentation skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Nutrition background beneficial

  • Specialized fitness equipment knowledge

  • Team collaboration experience

  • Experience in leading teams
