This position involves supporting the Global Wells organization. The job will provide the opportunity to become familiar with drilling and completion terminology and workflows, with direct engagement with the business. Primary application support will be Landmark EDT yet will include other technical applications used in the Global Wells organization.
Success depends on the ability to build strong business and IT relationships, and knowledge coupled with a deep understanding of application technology. The analyst will have opportunities to work on projects that impact the wells organization across all business units.
Effective communication skills along with an eagerness to learn should be “givens” for this role.
Responsibilities may include:
Experience in a customer facing role working with the function to address needs and priorities
Communicating to end users locally and globally
Acting as a consultant to customers, vendors, local and business unit’s IT resources as needed
Communicating globally to provide standard methodologies and updates on upcoming technology changes
Primary application support for Landmark EDT environment supporting Corporate, Houston Exploration, and L48 business units
Performing as a Solution Integrator/Solution Architect on all application upgrades
Own end to end support of applications providing software upgrades and technical user support
Developing, maintaining, deploying, and delivering/support information technology solutions to deliver defined business specific service offerings
Maintaining application related services on Window servers across business units
Leading and directing technology teams to execute deliverables
Building and leading technical testing for business units
Uphold IT’s application, problem and change management processes
Finding opportunities to move in-house hosted applications to cloud
Finding opportunities to use emerging technologies like RPA, IOT, and Analytics
Attending relevant conferences for software and technologies
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Admin/Mgmt., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related technical discipline or foreign equivalent
3 years of IT experience
1 years of experience with configuring and solving problems in Windows Sever – Custom Window services, ODBC, Scheduled Tasks
Beginner knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases and navigating via TOAD or another DBMS tool
Beginner experience with Spotfire
Ability to learn new application technologies (Landmark EDT and other)
Knowledge of ConocoPhillips Drilling, Completions, or Production businesses
Knowledge and experience in supporting Landmark EDT
Knowledge and experience in supporting other drilling/completion software
Advanced SQL and Oracle scripting knowledge
Knowledge in building SQL and Oracle views
Knowledge in data modelling and building dashboards
Experience designing and optimizing system architecture
Experience with designing and implementing RPA technology like UI Path
Good knowledge of IT and information systems implementation concepts, with an awareness of the full application management lifecycle
Excellent analytical and structural capabilities
Effective communication skills – able to communicate at all levels (oral/written)
Strong planning and co-ordination skills
Great teammate that can work with minimum supervision and lead others effectively
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
