Alaska Overview

ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.3 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2019. The company produced an average of 218 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2019. ConocoPhillips holds major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay Unit, the Kuparuk River Unit, and the Colville River Unit (Alpine). The company operates the Kuparuk and Alpine oil fields, has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Description

The ConocoPhillips Alaska Well Integrity and Intervention Engineering organization seeks to add a high-functioning engineering analyst to the team to ensure delivery of day-to-day planning and execution workflows. Individual must be highly flexible to change focus as work priorities quickly shift and have sound knowledge of wells workscopes, as well as data management and regulatory reporting.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Accountable for preparation and submittal of all non-rig well work sundries and completions reports to AOGCC and BLM.

  • Responsible for monthly execution of bill of ladings for all well work fluids sourced from CPAI facilities and re-allocating to appropriate cost centers.

  • Creating and managing expense network codes in both SAP and Wellview

  • Leads inventory management of CPAI-owned equipment related to integrity and intervention that are maintained by various vendors and CPAI shops.

  • Ensure alignment between internal well compliance statuses and planned well work to ensure compromised wells are addressed and scheduled.

  • Manage the annular communication database. Those duties include leading database upgrades with end users and IT.

  • Scheduling and managing fieldwide Ann Comm risk assessments.

  • Manage subsidence surveillance activities

  • Accountable for driving updates to well integrity and intervention technical manuals and procedures.

  • Providing oversight for compliance assurance activities. This includes review of wavier, subsidence, and compliance testing to verify work is assigned to stakeholders and/or executed in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements

  • Execution of project cost tracking and historical performance lookbacks of completed well intervention and integrity scopes.

  • Provides support on miscellaneous reporting requests

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee

  • 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PPT)

  • 3 years of experience in the oil & gas industry

  • 1 years of experience with creating and managing SharePoint systems (or similar collaborative tool)

  • 1 years of experience creating and submitting AOGCC and BLM sundry for non-rig well work.

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with usability (UX) mapping processes

  • Experience with creating and managing SharePoint systems (or similar collaborative tool)

  • Familiarity with AOGCC Form Tracker

  • Fluent in CPAI AnnComm and WellTRAK databases for data management and reporting purposes.

  • Self-directed individual requiring minimal oversight

  • Flexible, fluid to changes in work direction based on immediate needs of the organization.

  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right

  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
