ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.3 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2020. The company produced an average of 198 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2020. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope—Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates the Alpine Field and three satellites located on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Providing accounting, business analysis, and decision support to operations and management. Typical duties could include business unit financial accounting and forecasting or management reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities may include:
Business unit financial accounting and forecasting responsibilities could include obtaining, analyzing, and preparing financial documentation to timely and accurately record business unit transactions, resolving production questions/issues for booking of BU production volume accruals, reviewing and preparing capital spend reports, analysis of partner JIB statements and cash reconciliations, and preparing variances and presentations to management to assess health against forecasts and budgets
Management reporting and analysis could include resolving income statement, balance sheet and cash flow questions/issues encountered during close and striving to ensure timely and accurate financial results; G&A reporting and forecasting; tax compliance and audit coordination; general accounting activities such as payroll, inventory, joint venture; communication of estimates and results to BU leadership and Corporate; and coordination of external reporting and disclosures
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline or foreign equivalent
3 years of work experience in finance or accounting
1 years of experience in a role analytical and problem-solving skills
1 years of experience in a role demonstrating a strong understanding of financial acumen
1 years of SAP experience
Previous experience working with Database queries
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook
Ability to communicate with multiple levels in organization; finance, operations & management
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
